Toby has over 20 years experience within the financial services industry with a deep understanding of product development, distribution, media and communications within the market. He is a regular commentator in the media both on and offline. Toby has also published a number of reports about the UK market, while helping and advising some of the largest financial services companies at a senior or board level. Before setting up Research in Finance he was responsible for publishing some award winning consumer and trade titles across a range of different markets; including Investment Week, Bloomberg Money and Professional Pensions. Previously, the Group Publishing Director at Incisive Media and also a member of the company’s operational and strategic board. In addition, Toby has held a number of special adviser roles for private companies such as the Social Business Group.

Richard has over 16 years experience within the financial services market. Having begun his career working in international media across the financial sections of some of the worlds leading newspapers. He then moved into the business to business arena joining MSM International where he was instrumental in the launch of Professional Adviser magazine. Post-acquisition of MSM by Incisive Media he went on to manage the commercial side of Investment Week, IFAonline and Investment Europe.He has a deep understanding of the UK and European intermediary markets and the regulatory issues the sector faces. Richard has worked for many years with a range of asset management companies to generate effective and innovative marketing solutions.

Adele has over 17 years experience within the financial services industry. Before setting up Research in Finance, she set up and launched the research and consultancy arm of Incisive Media – Incisive Research. As the Research Director she ran the division for 10 years and conducted hundreds of major studies within the retail, wholesale and institutional pension markets. She has worked on projects around the globe but specialises in the UK and European geographies. Adele brings to Research in Finance a range of market and social research qualifications and an acute understanding of how to generate effective projects with meaningful results. Her analytics team offers full service capabilities in both qualitative and quantitative research and are never happier than when immersed in data.

Ana has been working in data analytics and research for the past 5 years. She previously worked as part of Incisive Media’s research team running major European and Institutional projects. Having also worked with some of the largest asset managers in the world to deliver work on product strategy, communication, marketing and sentiment. Ana speaks a number of languages and has a BSc in Business from University of Pucrs in Brazil.

Phil has over 21 years’ experience within the insurance industry with an award-winning background in digital product development, media and communications within the market. An adept public speaker and communicator Phil has presented at industry conferences in media and insurance and regularly helped and advised some of the largest insurance companies about how to shape their marketing strategy and establish the most persuasive messaging to suit their target audience.
Before setting up Research in Insurance he was the publishing director of Insurance POST, Insurance Age and was responsible for launching over 40 new events and new products, including the global insurance and risk white paper library Insurance Hound.

Annalise has spent her working life intensively researching B2B and B2C audiences in the financial sector. A keen qualitative researcher, she has conducted hundreds of interviews across advisers, DFMs, fund houses, platforms, pension providers and consumers. Her particular area of expertise is fund selection and distribution, on which she has written and presented extensively.
Annalise previously worked at Platforum, where she was lead researcher and author on UK and European fund distribution reports. Before this, she was at Bright Blue Research (formerly branded Consensus), conducting qualitative interviews and co-authoring reports for clients such as DWP and the FCA. Annalise holds a Government degree from the London School of Economics and the Market Research Society’s Advanced Certificate.

Sven has a strong interest in quantitative research and has worked across industries, honing his analytical skills in FMCG, automotive and pharmaceutical market research. Prior to engaging in financial services at Research in Finance, Sven derived market insights for automotive brands, helping run their global brand- and ad-tracking studies and car design and usability tests. Following his move into healthcare MR, Sven conducted research on novel drug therapies, working for some of the top pharmaceutical companies. Outside of the research arena, Sven enjoys rowing on the river Thames and his proudest sporting achievement so far has been to not capsize (yet).

Simon has 18 years’ experience as a qualitative research specialist, and was formerly a research director at Ipsos MORI. He brings a wealth of experience in designing and delivering qualitative research using a wide range of methodologies. He is also an experienced practitioner of online qual. Before his research career, Simon practised corporate finance law at a leading City firm. Simon is a specialist focus group moderator.
Georgiana is an experienced qualitative researcher, specialising in depth interviews, expert interviews, trends analysis and forecasting. Desk research and social media listening are also skills she brings to the Research in Finance team. Since joining the market research industry in 2011, Georgina has worked for a wide range of clients, including GlaxoSmithKline, the World Health Organization, Royal London, Big Lottery Fund, HSBC, and the British Council. Projects have ranged from in-home financial literature testing to forecasting future demand for the English language.
Previously, Georgiana was a Senior Analyst for Trajectory, a trends forecasting company providing strategic advice to blue chip clients. She has also worked for Creation Healthcare (now ‘Creation’), a market research consultancy operating in the highly regulated pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. Georgiana holds a BSc in Marketing with Media and Cultural Studies from Canterbury Christ Church University, and a MA in Social Anthropology from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
Rob is editor of Professional Paraplanner as well as publisher of AdviserBusinessReview.com. He has been an editor of financial services and business magazines for over 18 years. He was managing editor of Investment Week, Professional Adviser, IFAonline and International Investment and was a launch editor of Professional Adviser and Mortgage Magazine plus other titles in the offshore investment and telecoms markets. Prior to publishing, he spent 10 years in customer relations.
Louisa is a vastly experienced event manager and here at RiF looks after the Professional Paraplanner Technical Insight Seminars across the UK and RiF Briefings.
